Cool, I get to post the first "how to" with pics! Ahem...
How to make a cheap shop stool:
Take one wire (or cable, twine, etc.) spool, drill holes in the bottom, and insert wheels from a scrapped office chair. Voila! On this particular one, I need to put some kinda insert in the holes, the plastic's so soft, my fat butt is making the pegs on the wheels elongate the holes. And no one likes stretched out holes. affraid (sorry, couldn't resist an attempt at humor)

Off the top of my head, maybe some kinda pneumatic wheels, maybe 4" dia. or so? Good question... Question

I think I'd add a small pad, or at least a piece of plywood for my bony butt.

Well, yeah, that's my plan whenever I come across a cheap (or free) cushion of some kind. I may even just fold up a couple layers of bubble wrap from work. scratch
