Thanks Dad

Finally got around to taking a photograph of my Dad's NYPD Service Revolver. Model 1-3 S&W .38 with 4" heavy barrel. Did a transfer in Late September from Fl. to here in NJ.

Beautiful, I love it. Has that revolver killed people?

Not yet, and hopefully never. The beauty of the guns (some of) our Father's left us is that they had them for so long and never had to use them.

I learned a lot from my Dad about being a responsible gun owner. If he can go from his youth to 75 years old carrying without firing a shot at anyone.....

Kind of like your Dad leaving you that H&R without ever using it on anyone. It was there only to be used if his life, or the lives of his family depended on it. He obviously avoided those situations.
